Traveling with a dog or cat

You are welcome, to a limited extent, to bring a cat or a dog on board.

Tickets for a cat or dog on Jettime's flights can be booked 3-9 months before departure and no later than 3 business days prior to departure.

Note: Guests traveling to Madeira (Funchal Airport) wishing to bring a cat or dog must contact Jettime's Customer Service.

Guidelines

Guidelines for dogs or cats in the cabin

Cats and dogs must be kept in an approved and waterproof carrier that can be completely closed. The carrier must measure a maximum of 40 x 25 x 23 cm.
The maximum weight of the pet including the carrier is 8 kg.
The pet must have enough space to lie down in a natural position and turn around inside the carrier.
The pet must have access to water during the entire flight.
The carrier must be placed under the seat in front of you during takeoff and landing. During the flight, you are only allowed to take the carrier onto your lap if this can be done without disturbing the guest sitting next to you.
You are not permitted to take the pet out of the carrier at any time during the flight.
Guests traveling with pets in the cabin will be seated in the rear section of the aircraft to accommodate any passengers with allergies.

Guidelines for cats or dogs in the cargo hold

The pet must be in a carrier that meets all requirements for air transport.
The pet must be able to stand, turn around, and have access to water in the carrier.
The carrier must have a maximum height of 88 cm. Dogs requiring a larger carrier cannot be brought on Jettime's flights.
The pet must not be sedated upon arrival at the airport. Airport staff may require the animal to be taken out of the carrier.

Vaccinations

It is always the guest's responsibility to ensure that all necessary vaccinations and documents for accompanying pets are in order. These documents must be presented at check-in.
